Life Happens

Life happens!! And whether we like it or not, stuff happens.  Life gets hard, life sucks sometimes.  Sometimes life is good and it's grooving and then it drops.  Life just keeps rolling through the good and the bad.  And guess what?  Christianity is not a free ticket from the hard times in life.  As much as we want it to go smoothly, for things to just ride along in our favor, it doesn't happen.  But what is AWESOME is that God has a purpose and plan behind everything that happens!! He's not going anywhere.  Solomon, the wisest guy that's ever lived says in Ecclesiastes, "There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

² a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
³ a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
⁴ a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
⁵ a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
⁶ a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
⁷ a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
⁸ a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace."

 

What's interesting is that there is a time for EVERYTHING, the good and the bad.  There are 14 things that are good that happend, and there are 14 BAD things that happen.  There is a time for everything!  So we can know that bad things will come.  But that is where HOPE comes in!!  As Christians we have a hope, because Philipians 2:11 states "God works everything for the good of those who love him!"  Life isn't just about the bad, nor is it just about the good.  God gives us hope in everything because we can trust him to work it out.  Pain and suffering happens, but it will lead us to perserverance and the ability to give hope to others.  We need to trust him, even when we don't understand why.  We need to trust what God knows, not what we know.  We need to live one day at a time.  Two things are for certain.   GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!! and GOD IS IN CONTROL!!  And because we know this and because we have this hope, we can accept what happens.  Nobody said it would be easy, but with God, it'll all work out even if we can't see it.  

Journeys

Life is a journey that we all partake in. We all start off the same, but we all go different ways. Some will take a left and others right. Some take the road less traveled. Some take the warn path. Some make their own path.

I dont know how to classify myself. Some might say that I make my own path. Others might say I take the road less traveled. Well both are wrong. I follow the path God takes me on. God is the lamp onto my feet and light to my path. I will hide his words in my heart and he will make my PATH STRATE. Im not navigating my own path, Im following God! Give it all to God and He will NEVER let you down. You can trek on your own trail and you might be happy, but you will never be as fulfilled as the Path God Has For YOU. When every I tried going down my own path it always failed. You fall off cliffs or get caught in traps. Robbers come and take what you have. You get lost with no where to go. You go to dark places with no light. When you ask for guidance God sends his Son to come and light the path He has for you. Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door will be opened to you. Just ask! Deny yourself, Pick up your cross, and follow Him. You will not regret that decision!

"I don't wanna say a word unless it points the world back to You."  WOW!!  I heard this song and it hit me hard. I am so guilty of throwing words out with the desire to harm others.  I've said things I've regretted, or said things that have hurt others.  We don't often think about the impact of our words.  We just talk and talk and talk without thinking about what is actually coming out.  Words hurt more than anything else.  It determines our attitudes, our actions and our reactions.  Words are powerful.  WE need to think before we speak.  I don't want to say a word unless it points the world back to God.  Yeah, I'm not perfect.  I won't be good at thinking before speaking right away.  You won't be perfect, your friends and family won't be perfect.  But that's not the point.  If you and I think BEFORE we speak and focus and pointing back to God rather than for ourselves, that will affect and change the world.  Words are a key factor into changing the world.  Think about it, chew on it, and speak His love, not just another noise!

Merry Christmas from all of us a We Are World Changers! Amongst all of the family and friends of this holiday season lets remember the true meaning of christmas. Remembering the birth of our Lord and Savior! Without Him we would not have our salvation.

Tiz' the Season

Tiz the season they say. The lights. The stores advertising more than ever. The weather is getting colder. It is Christmas season yet again! With all of these thing we sometimes look past the things that are really important in life. Christmas is probably the best time of the year! I personally love it! Even i tend to lose what is really important during this season. I look more to stuff than God during this time. This is ironic. The reason this holiday came along was because of God in the first place. We have come to a point in society that when we think about christmas we thing of santa, snow, and lights. When the true meaning of christmas is coming together and celebrating the Birth of Our Savior! The best gift that we could ever receive! The gift of Eternal Life in Christ Jesus. So as a challenge to all of us. Lets enjoy this holiday season and remember Why we celibrate this holiday.

Surrender

When you hear the world "surrender" you think of a white flag going up sowing that you don't want to fight anymore. When one surrenders they loose. When an surrender occurs you take a chance, because a surrender can go one of two ways. The first way is that the opposing party will take the opportunity to use this surrender towards you total downfall. The second way is that the opposing party will have mercy on you. Sometimes we look at surrender as a dishonorable thing and we tend to avoid surrender in general. This is human nature. We want to win. We are selfish beings. Honestly we are all out to make the best of our own lives. Does that sound selfish? Going through life so that YOU can be happy/ successful. Is that not the definition of being selfish? Going after ones own desires and putting others second. We are selfish being because of our sin nature. We were born with it, because we are all human. Surrender. The thing you least want to do in any situation. Surrender. Making yourself lower. Surrender. The Only Way.

Surrender is not always a bad thing. I guess by now you are wondering where i am going this this whole surrender thing. Well here it is:

We Need To Surrender To GOD.

What does this look like? Well it looks like someone no longer living for themselves. It looks like someone looking at others first. It looks like peace. 

Many of us are looking for peace in our lives. We think we can find peace in success and other things of that nature but we are missing it. All of those things are worldly things. Yes we live in this world, but  we, as world changers, are not of this world. We march to the beat of a different drum! But many of us wonder how to reach this army. The only way to be not of this world is accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. By doing this you are surrendering yourself to Him. What more is left to be said? To me world changers we must surrender ourselves take up our cross and follow HIM.

Matthew 16:24

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples,  "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.  

Where are We Going

Many things have happened between the last post and this one. God has really moved in my life and many of my friends lives. With all of these things happing I am asking myself: Where are We Going? Where are We Going? I believe that God is taking us on a path of a spiritual revival. We are going places that previous generations have not gone before. We are on a path of world change. When I started this blog I was not sure where it was going to go. When i started this blog I was not sure if it would go anywhere. Honestly I loved the idea of "We are World Changers", but I did not know if the idea of young people changing the world would catch on among my peers. Now I Know. I know that WE ARE WORLD CHANGERS! God has confirmed this idea many times! One example of this is the other day at school chapel the super attendant of the school said that "This auditorium is fill with world changers". My heart skipped a beat! This is a man that I never talked to extensively in my life and he said that! I keep hearing this phrase from many people and I know that it is a sign! So to answer the question in the begging. We are going forward! We through Christ are doing thing never accomplished before! We are doing things that are going to change the the world!
